WHY JOIN THE SILVERSTONE WORK EXPERIENCE PROGRAMME?
At Silverstone, we believe in opening doors for young people and helping you explore exciting future careers. Our Work Experience Programme gives students aged 14-18 the chance to go behind the scenes at one of the world’s most iconic venues and immerse yourself in the fast-paced world of motorsport, events and innovation.
Across a structured 5-day experience, you’ll take part in business projects, shadow industry professionals, build confidence and develop skills that will last a lifetime.
You’ll gain:

-> Experience to strengthen CVs, personal statements and apprenticeship or university applications

The Programme
Designed to be engaging, hands-on and inspiring, our work experience programme includes a full week of activities built around real challenges faced by Silverstone. Across the week, participants will:
Work on a Live Project
Students work in teams to solve a real Silverstone initiative – from designing a motorsport fan event, creating a new merchandise project, or proposing a sustainability innovation for the venue. Each project encourages collaboration, creativity and problem-solving.
Learn From Industry Professionals
Throughout the week, students take part in:
Group based project-work.
Lunch and learn sessions with Silverstone Team Members.
A full department immersion day, shadowing team members within various departments across the business.

Present to a Professional Panel
The week culminates in a celebratory showcase, where teams present their ideas to a judging panel made up of Silverstone leaders and specialists.
Who Can Apply?
We welcome applications from students who are:
- Aged 14-18
- In full-time education at a UK school or college
- Excited to learn, collaborate and experience life at a world-class venue
- Able to attend all five days of the programme
- Able to travel to and from Silverstone
We strongly encourage applications from students who:
- Are interested in careers in events, business, marketing, sustainability, operations and motorsport
- Want to build confidence and practical employability skills
